Learn more about the buildings on our property with our aerial map, photos, and details about our Inn, Courtyard, and Restaurant, Grove.
You’ll find Briar Barn Inn on 101 Main Street right across from the town common. The first building you will see is the historic Millet House, home to our offices. Just beyond the offices, is a gallery, spa, and pool. Our 30-room inn is centrally located with a landscaped courtyard and patios leading toward our restaurant, Grove, (a post and beam barn) in the back of our property.
Across from a green space on Main Street in Rowley, and surrounded by protected land on the northern, eastern and southern sides Briar Barn Inn – our property promises a convenient location with tranquil surroundings.
Our 30-Room inn is in a U-shape with a landscaped courtyard visible from each wing. The lobby and front desk are located in the front of the building in a bright and airy space reminiscent of a silo in a contrasting light color. After check-in, guests will have easy access to the spa, courtyard, and our restaurant, Grove, through our landscaped garden paths.
From cozy gathering spaces to our uniquely appointed guest rooms, Briar Bar Inn features an inspiring blend of rustic décor and thoughtful amenities to make your stay effortlessly comfortable. Each room includes a gas fireplace, hideaway entertainment cabinet with a 46” flat screen television, and a cozy seating area.
Our courtyard is conveniently located by the enclosed walls of our U-shaped Inn with a fire pit located in the area between the courtyard entrance, and the restaurant terrace. Surrounded by beautiful landscaping, the connecting paths make it easy and accessible to get to the dining patio, terrace, Grove, and of course, the Inn.
We envision the courtyard as the perfect place to relax after spa treatment, a place to soak in the sun with a favorite book, to make s’mores around the firepit, or to get fresh air after a dinner in the barn. Like Willowdale Estate, we plan on making the most of our garden areas with trees, bushes and flower plantings that compliment the natural beauty of New England.
Keeping with the rural history in the town of Rowley a post and beam barn was the perfect shape for our 100-seat restaurant, Grove. With three separate bar locations inside the building, we will be able to host events, guests at our inn, and local visitors in our dining areas. In the warmer months, our terrace will have outdoor seating.
Our restaurant will offer a seasonal menu, developed by our award-winning chef at Willowdale Estate, focusing on farm-fresh ingredients, inspired flavors, and regional classics with a twist. Open year-round and offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner with brunch on the weekends – we are excited to earn a reputation as a local favorite!
When entering through our main entrance you will see the open concept dining room, with hardwood floors, exposed beams, and an open and light-filled room! Our new post-and-beam restaurant will feature rustic farm tables with plenty of seating for up to 100 guests, two double ring black industrial chandeliers, and a full bar at the far end of the room.
Just to the right of the main dining area, there is a smaller dining area with our second bar for larger reservations. Just beyond the bar area, you will find our restrooms, a third bar, and another small dining or cocktail area that can be opened as needed.
This view of our restaurant, Grove, and Inn entrances from the parking area is the perfect way to arrive – whether you’re visiting as a restaurant patron, as a guest at a celebration, or checking in for a stay at our Inn. Enter the restaurant through one of two main restaurant entrances or enter our Inn through the iconic silo-entry.
Our neighbors, guests, and event clients will enjoy all of the comforts of modern buildings, in a setting inspired by rural farmhouse themes, and the pastoral beauty and serenity of old New England.
