Construction Has Started
We officially broke ground on Briar Barn! Our friends over at Colonial Construction have started clearing the way for our new buildings. From the street you’ll notice that the historic 1901 Victorian Edward Millett House will remain and eventually be restored. We are also keeping the single-family house in the back, but all other structures will be removed. This will create the space we need to build a 30-room Inn, 100-seat Barn, pool, spa, and parking area all surrounded by gardens, terraces, and connecting paths.
The demolition started with the clearing of some of the existing structures on the property and our CEO, Melissa took the wheel for the first dig! Even though this property will be new construction, the goal is to make it feel historical and blend into the look and feel Rowley has to offer.
Our clients have been looking for more great choices for restaurants and accommodations near Willowdale Estate, and now we are getting even closer to fulfilling that need with Briar Barn Inn. This property also provides the ability to expand our hospitality and culinary experience that we are known for.
We’ve also captured the beginning of the construction in this time lapse video. We love seeing the property come to life before our eyes. A lot has happened in just the past month!
